Direct payment

Premiums can be paid by bank transfer, via the online self-service portal, by e-banking direct debit, at payment terminals (Maxima, Lietuvos paštas, Perlas, Lietuvos spauda, Narvesen, Vaskota), or by card/cash at selected ADB Gjensidige branches.

Geographic scope

Europe

Coverage applies in Lithuania or in Europe, as chosen in the policy. The T&C's list of 'European countries' includes Belarus and the European part of Russia, while the IPID summary states that European cover excludes Belarus, Russia and Ukraine — sources conflict on this point.

Unique selling points

  • No depreciation deduction on repairs for vehicles under 3 years old, repaired at a garage of your choice.
  • Theft of car audio equipment is reimbursed even if it wasn't separately insured.
  • If one tyre is damaged in an incident, two matching tyres on the same axle are replaced, not just one.
  • Windscreen damage is repaired without any deductible deduction and with no limit on the number of claims per policy year.
  • 24/7 roadside assistance is included as standard across all Mini, Midi and Maxi plans.

Coverage limits

Own Damage (All-Risks)

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

The vehicle is insured against damage or destruction caused by any sudden and unforeseen event, or theft, occurring during the policy period, except for the listed exclusions. The insured sum is generally equal to the vehicle's market value on the day of the event unless a specific sum is stated in the policy.

Source

Total Loss / Destruction

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

The vehicle is deemed destroyed if repair costs exceed 75% of its market value or of the insured sum on the day of the event. The payout equals the vehicle's market value on that day, minus the value of any remains, unless the remains are surrendered to the insurer.

Source

Partial Damage

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

The vehicle is deemed damaged (not destroyed) if repair costs are below 75% of market value or insured sum. Repair costs necessary to restore the vehicle to its pre-loss condition are reimbursed, subject to the depreciation option chosen and the overall insured sum.

Theft and Robbery

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

Theft or robbery of the vehicle or its parts, including damage caused during the theft/robbery, is covered as part of the all-risks protection. Without an official document confirming the event, the indemnity is capped at EUR 1,500 pending further verification.

Source

Glass Damage

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

If only the vehicle's glass is damaged or destroyed and it is repaired/replaced at the insurer's nominated garages (for Maxi, also at an official dealer's garage), the deductible is not applied. There is no limit on the number of such claims per policy period; this does not apply to theft.

Natural Perils (Storm, Hail, Flood, Downpour, Lightning)

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

Damage caused by storm (wind gusts over 18 m/s), hail (hailstones ≥10 mm), flood (sudden, unexpected rise of water level — excluded in areas that flood at least once every 7 years), downpour (≥15 mm rain in 12 hours), and direct lightning strike causing fire, is covered as part of the all-risks protection.

Third-Party Malicious Acts (Vandalism)

Covered

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

Damage or destruction of the vehicle, its parts, or additional equipment caused by malicious acts of third parties, including arson or attempted arson (unless it constitutes theft/attempted theft), is covered.

24/7 Roadside Assistance

€2,300 – €3,000

Only in 4x4, 4x4 Turbo

Standard across Mini, Midi and Maxi (per the T&C's table 7.11), covering breakdowns, accidents, towing, minor roadside repairs, tyre change, jump-starts, fuel delivery, lock-outs and related services, provided assistance cover is noted in the policy. The overall per-event indemnity limit is EUR 2,300 under the '4x4' package (Lithuania only) or EUR 3,000 under the '4x4 Turbo' package (Europe-wide).

Replacement Vehicle

€50

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

Under the roadside assistance addon, a replacement vehicle (up to C-class, M1 category only) is provided for up to 14 days, but only after a towing service was provided or after theft. Abroad, cost is capped at EUR 50/day; the policyholder pays for the replacement vehicle's own insurance, fuel and extension costs. Separately, the Mini/Midi/Maxi retail plans include a replacement-vehicle benefit whose exact terms vary by plan.

Driver and Passenger Accident Insurance

Conditional

Only in Maxi, Midi, Mini

Insurance of the driver and/or passengers against bodily injury, disability or death sustained in an accident involving the insured vehicle. Included as standard in Midi and Maxi; available only as a paid add-on in Mini. The insured sum is set by agreement between the policyholder and insurer.

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

If an accident is caused by a driver younger than, or with less driving experience than, specified in the policy, the first such event during the initial policy period is subject to an additional EUR 250 deductible (EUR 500 if both age and experience limits are violated); any second or subsequent such event is treated as uninsured and no indemnity is paid.

Repair network requirements

Maxi allows free choice of repair shop as a standard feature; Midi offers the same only for an extra premium (otherwise repairs occur at the insurer's partner network); Mini requires repairs exclusively at garages nominated by the insurer.

Territorial scope

Coverage applies either in Lithuania only, or across Europe, as selected in the policy. The T&C list of 'European countries' (Section 6) explicitly includes Belarus and the European part of Russia; however, the IPID states that European cover excludes Belarus, Russia and Ukraine — these two official sources are not fully consistent on this point.

Anti-theft requirements

The vehicle's anti-theft security system must meet the security level required and stated in the policy (four defined levels based on combinations of coded alarm, immobilizer, GPS/GSM tracking-and-search systems, and vehicle marking); failing to meet the required level, or having a disabled/incomplete system, voids theft coverage.

Claim notification deadline

The policyholder must notify the insurer of an insured event immediately, but no later than 3 business days after it occurs, and register the claim via the website, self-service portal, or by phone.

Deductible rules

A fixed (non-conditional) deductible generally applies per claim. It is waived when a liable third party is identified (with recourse rights retained by the insurer), for windscreen-only claims repaired at nominated garages, and for a set of listed extra benefits (e.g., additional equipment, tyre replacement, lock/key replacement, stolen keys, child seat, interior cleaning, hydraulic-shock damage).
