Regulatory updates
In 2022, Foyer Group acquired the local Luxembourg non-life and life insurance portfolios previously managed by Allianz Insurance Luxembourg / Allianz Life Luxembourg, a transaction subject to approval by the Luxembourg insurance regulator CAA and the National Bank of Belgium; as a result, Allianz Luxembourg refocused on international life insurance sold under freedom to provide services, while travel/assistance products (Allianz Assistance) continue to be sold to Luxembourg residents via the Belgian branch of AWP P&C SA.
