Allianz Nederland Groep N.V.
Allianz Direct
Allianz Direct is a motor casco insurance for the Netherlands market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
Repairs carried out via the Topherstel partner network are invoiced directly to Allianz Direct in many cases; for emergency repairs abroad or repairs via non-partner repairers, the policyholder must pay upfront and later submit the costs for reimbursement.
Geographic scope
Europe, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey (countries listed on the Green Card)
Coverage applies in the countries shown on the Green Card that are not crossed out; return transport (thuisbrengservice) is arranged within the Netherlands after an accident abroad if repair is not possible within 10 days.
Unique selling points
- Online premium calculation in about 20 seconds, with policy issued digitally the same day.
- €0 voluntary deductible is available as standard on Beperkt Casco, unlike many competitors' fixed excess.
- Repairs at Topherstel network garages come with a 4-year workmanship guarantee while the factory warranty stays valid.
- 24/7 accident alarm centre reachable by phone for immediate assistance after a collision.
- The policy can be cancelled on a daily basis at any time, with no fixed notice period.
Coverage limits
Own damage (accident/parking damage)
Excluded
Damage to your own car from an accident or parking damage is explicitly excluded under Beperkt Casco; a comprehensive Allrisk (Volledig Casco) policy is required for this cover.
Total loss
€200,000
In case of theft or total loss caused by an insured peril, the car's value is paid based on the highest of the ANWB/BOVAG list price or actual value; for imported cars only actual value applies. For cars up to 12 months old, new value (max €200,000 incl. VAT) applies; for cars 1-6 years old, purchase value (max €100,000 incl. VAT) applies.
Partial loss (repair costs)
Covered
Repair costs are covered for damage caused by insured perils under Beperkt Casco (e.g. hail, storm, fire, theft, glass, animal collision); damage from accidents or parking is excluded.
Theft and robbery
Covered
Damage from theft, attempted burglary, fraud, robbery, embezzlement and joyriding is covered, subject to security requirements shown on the policy schedule; damage is not covered if the car was unlocked, keys were left inside, windows were open, or required security systems were not fitted.
Glass damage
€250
Repair or replacement of broken or cracked windows and sunroof glass is covered, including glass-splinter damage to luggage up to €250, when carried out by partner glass repairers; using a non-partner repairer without the optional Free Repair Choice cover results in a €250 (repair) or €500 (replacement) reduction in payout.
Natural perils / weather damage
Covered
Damage directly caused by hail, storm (minimum wind force 7), hurricane, tornado, flood, lightning strike, landslide, mudslide, avalanche, earthquake and volcanic eruption is covered.
Vandalism
Excluded
Damage caused by vandalism (intentional damage by a third party) is explicitly not covered under Beperkt Casco.
Roadside assistance (breakdown)
Optional
Breakdown assistance (mechanical/electrical failure) is not part of the base Beperkt Casco cover and must be purchased as a separate Pechhulp add-on; accident-related recovery/transport home (thuisbrengservice) is included in the base policy.
Replacement vehicle
€15 – €30
A replacement vehicle is provided for a maximum of 15 days in case of total loss and up to 30 days in case of theft (until the car is recovered); instead of a replacement vehicle, an allowance of €30 per day can be chosen. Combining both is not possible.
Driver/passenger accident cover
€1,000,000
The optional Inzittendenverzekering covers injury and property damage to the driver and passengers up to €1,000,000 per event; this is not part of the base Beperkt Casco policy.
Key conditions
Driver age and experience limit
No specific driver age or experience limit is stated in the reviewed policy documents; the named regular driver is recorded on the policy schedule.
Repair network requirements
Repairs must be carried out through the Topherstel partner network to receive full payout; using a non-partner repairer without the optional Free Repair Choice cover reduces payout by €500 for bodywork/glass replacement or €250 for glass repair.
Territorial scope
Coverage applies in the countries listed on the Green Card (Europe, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey) that are not crossed out.
Anti-theft requirements
If security/alarm system requirements apply, they are stated on the policy schedule; theft damage is not covered if the required security class was not fitted at policy start, except for a 30-day grace period in the first insurance year only.
Claim notification deadline
Theft, burglary, arson, riots or vandalism must be reported to the police as soon as possible; in case of stolen keys, locks must be replaced immediately and theft reported to police within 24 hours, or theft cover is void. General claims must be reported no later than three years after discovery.
Deductible rules
A €0 voluntary deductible is available; the chosen deductible always applies in addition to any repair-network penalty (€500/€250) for using a non-partner repairer.
