Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG, Dutch branch
Allianz Direct
Allianz Direct is a motor casco insurance for the Netherlands market with online purchase and 24/7 assistance.
Direct payment
If repairs are carried out by an Allianz Direct/Topherstel network repairer, the invoice is sent directly to Allianz Direct and the customer does not need to pay upfront; repairs outside the network must be paid by the customer and claimed back, and incur a €250 (glass repair) or €500 (other damage/glass replacement) reduction unless Free Repair Choice cover is purchased.
Geographic scope
Netherlands, valid across Europe and Green Card countries (including Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey)
Coverage applies in the countries listed on the Green Card (International Motor Insurance Card) that are not crossed out; the IPID specifies Europe, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey

Coverage limits
Own damage to own vehicle (including own fault)
€200,000
All Risk covers damage to the policyholder's own car caused by a collision, crash, skidding, overturning, running off the road or into water, and parking damage — including when the policyholder is at fault. Repair costs are reimbursed up to the vehicle's value (new-value up to €200,000 for cars up to 1 year old, purchase-value up to €100,000 for cars 1-6 years old, otherwise market value).
Total loss
€200,000
If repair costs exceed the difference between the car's value and its salvage value, or repair is technically not feasible, the car is total loss and Allianz Direct pays the value of the car (new-value up to €200,000 in year 1, purchase-value up to €100,000 for cars up to 6 years, otherwise the higher of the ANWB/BOVAG price list or actual value) minus the salvage value.
Partial damage / repairable loss
€200,000
When repair costs are lower than the difference between the car's value and its salvage value, Allianz Direct pays the repair cost minus the chosen deductible; failing to have bodywork damage repaired results in the deductible being deducted from the payout, and unrepaired glass damage receives no payout.
Theft, robbery and joyriding
€200,000
Covers theft, attempted burglary, deception, robbery, embezzlement (borrowed car not returned) and joyriding. Stolen car keys are covered only if the locks are replaced immediately and the theft is reported to the police within 24 hours. If the car is not recovered within 30 days, the car's value (per the new-value/purchase-value/market-value regime) minus salvage value is paid; if recovered later, the payout must be repaid to reclaim the car.
Glass damage (windscreen and sunroof)
Covered
Replacement and repair of broken/cracked windows and sunroof glass is covered with no deductible when carried out by Allianz Direct's approved glass repairers (Autotaalglas, Carglass, Schadenet) or a brand dealer/BOVAG/FOCWA affiliate; using another repairer results in a €250 co-payment for repair or €500 for replacement (unless Free Repair Choice is purchased). Damage to luggage caused by broken glass is covered up to €250.
Weather and natural events, fire and explosion
€200,000
Covers damage directly caused by hail, storm (minimum wind force 7, at least 14 m/s per KNMI wind maps), hurricane, tornado, flood, lightning, landslide, mudflow, avalanche, earthquake and volcanic eruption, as well as fire, explosion and short-circuit.
Vandalism and direct hacking attacks on the vehicle
€200,000
Covers intentional damage to the car by a third party and a hacking attack directly on the car itself; an attack on a server or digital platform that communicates with the car is excluded.
Roadside assistance and breakdown cover
Optional
Only in Pechhulp Verzekering
Post-accident recovery and transport (towing the car and driver/passengers home, storage, replacement transport) is included automatically within All Risk as 'Hulp bij schade'. Assistance for mechanical/electronic breakdown, a flat battery, empty fuel tank, lost/broken keys or a flat tyre is NOT included in the base policy and requires the separate optional 'Pechhulp Verzekering', which provides a 24/7 alarm centre, on-the-spot help within 60 minutes, transport to a repairer, and hotel/replacement-transport allowances.
Replacement vehicle or daily allowance
€30
Included with All Risk: a replacement car during repair by an Allianz Direct repairer in the Netherlands (not for glass-only damage), a replacement car abroad during (emergency) repair for a maximum of 15 days, up to 15 days for total loss, and up to 30 days (until the car is found) for theft. Instead of a replacement car, policyholders can choose a €30 per day allowance for travel costs; combining both is not possible.
Passenger/driver accident cover (Inzittendenverzekering)
€1,000,000
Only in Inzittendenverzekering
Optional add-on covering injury to, and damage to belongings of, the driver and passengers resulting from a traffic accident, up to €1,000,000 per event; a seatbelt-non-use penalty reduces compensation by 25%, and undeclared (black-market) income losses are excluded.
Key conditions
Driver age and experience limit
The policy terms do not state a specific minimum driver age or experience requirement, but the driver must hold a valid and appropriate driving licence, must not be disqualified from driving, and an accompanying driver under the '2toDrive' supervised-driving scheme must meet that scheme's rules; driving without proper authorisation voids cover.
Repair network requirements
Repairs should be carried out by a repairer from Allianz Direct's Topherstel network in the Netherlands, which offers a 4-year repair guarantee and direct invoicing to the insurer. Using a non-network repairer results in €250 less compensation for glass repair or €500 less for other damage/glass replacement (unless the optional Free Repair Choice cover is purchased), except for emergency repairs abroad.
Territorial scope
Coverage applies in the countries printed on the Green Card (International Motor Insurance Card) that are not crossed out; per the IPID this includes Europe, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey.
Anti-theft requirements
If the policy schedule specifies a required alarm/security system class and it was not yet installed at the start date, the car is only covered for burglary, theft and joyriding during the first 30 days of the first policy year (not on renewal). Theft cover is also void if the car was left unlocked, with keys inside, or windows not properly closed.
Claim notification deadline
Claims must be reported as soon as possible and no later than 3 years after the damage is discovered (general terms); for a stolen car key, the policyholder must also have the locks replaced immediately and report the theft to the police within 24 hours to keep cover valid.
Deductible rules
All Risk policyholders choose a voluntary deductible shown on the policy schedule; according to Allianz Direct's product page this can be €0, €250, €500 or €1,000, with a higher deductible lowering the premium (WA and Beperkt Casco have a fixed €0 deductible). The chosen deductible applies to bodywork damage and is deducted in addition to any repair-network co-payment; glass damage repaired via the network carries no deductible.

Certain vehicles may require specific alarm systems or security measures to be installed; requirements are specified on the policy schedule
SourceGeographic coverage area
