Regulatory updates
As of 17 April 2023, a.s.r. discontinued the Ditzo brand: existing and new policies are now offered under the name 'Ik kies zelf van a.s.r.' as part of a strategy to reduce the number of brands and strengthen the a.s.r. brand. At the time of the change, Ditzo served over 700,000 customers with health, car, home and travel insurance. Ditzo's health insurance policies could no longer be newly concluded from 2025 onward under the Ditzo name. The underlying entities remain licensed insurers under DNB's Solvency II regime (e.g. ASR Levensverzekering N.V. and ASR Schadeverzekering N.V.), and Ditzo-branded life products (Ditzo Uitvaartverzekering, Ditzo Overlijdens Risico Verzekering) are still listed as trade names in DNB's public register.
