Europeesche Verzekeringen is a Dutch insurance brand specialised in travel and leisure insurance, founded in 1920 in cooperation with Dutch Railways as NV Europeesche Goederen en Reisbagage Verzekering Maatschappij. It traces its roots to a travel-baggage insurer established in Budapest in 1907 by Max von Engel, and has been part of ASR Nederland since the late 1990s. In 2023 a.s.r. discontinued the Europeesche brand, folding its products into the a.s.r. label.

Regulatory updates
In March 2023, a.s.r. announced it would discontinue the Ditzo and Europeesche Verzekeringen brands; from 17 April 2023 the insurance policies of both brands are offered under the a.s.r. name, with no consequences for existing policyholders, who retain the same products and service.
