Roadside / emergency assistance (Alarmcentrale)

Driver personal accident cover

Personal injury to the driver of the car, or damage to the driver's own belongings, is explicitly excluded from cover.
Passenger accident/liability cover

Passengers are covered as third parties for injury and damage caused by or with the car, including damage caused by passengers getting in or out; hand luggage and clothing worn by passengers is also covered, within the bodily injury/property damage liability limits.
Key conditions
Territorial scope
Cover applies in the countries shown on the International Motor Insurance Card (Green Card/IMK); countries crossed off the card are not covered.
Green card rules
The policyholder receives an International Motor Insurance Card (IMK, formerly Green Card) with the policy; coverage extends only to the countries listed and not crossed out on this card.
Driver restrictions
No compensation is paid if the driver does not hold a valid driving licence at the time of the event, subject to limited exceptions (e.g. a licence expired less than a year, a licence obtained but not yet received, or driving under supervision); driving without permission from the owner/holder is also excluded.
Claim notification deadline
Claims must be reported as soon as the policyholder becomes aware of the damage; a claim reported more than 36 months after the event will not be compensated, and the same 36-month period applies for disputing the insurer's final decision.
Bonus-malus rules
Premium depends on a no-claim ladder with steps 1 to 31; a new policyholder with 0 claim-free years starts at step 5, and one claim-free year moves you up the ladder until the maximum discount of 75% is reached, while a claim causes you to drop back according to a fixed table.
