Key conditions

Territorial scope

The policy is valid in all countries shown on the Green Card, following the laws and regulations of that country; it does not apply in countries that are crossed out on the Green Card (currently Russia, Belarus, Iran and Azerbaijan). Coverage also extends to Asian Turkey, Morocco and Tunisia.

Green card rules

A Green Card is required as proof of insurance abroad; the vehicle is covered only in the countries listed on the card and not in countries that are crossed out.

Driver restrictions

Any driver who has permission from the policyholder and/or the vehicle owner is covered, provided they hold a valid driving licence, are not disqualified from driving, and comply with 2toDrive rules where applicable; cover is excluded if the driver has more alcohol in their blood or breath than legally permitted, has used drugs, medication or other intoxicating substances affecting driving ability, or refuses to cooperate with a test.

Claim notification deadline

A claim must be reported as soon as possible via the Centraal Beheer app, online via MijnCB, or by phone; the sources do not specify a fixed number of days.

Bonus-malus rules

The policy uses a bonus-malus system with steps 1 to 30. A claim-free year raises the step and the associated discount, up to a stated maximum of 79%, while each paid claim lowers the step (and discount) according to a fixed table depending on the current step and the number of claims in that policy year. A policyholder with 0 no-claim years starts at step 6. Discount percentages in the table can be adjusted annually.
