Direct payment

Ominimo applies no deductible on third-party liability (WA) claims; claims are reported and handled online via ominimo.nl.

Geographic scope

Netherlands

Coverage applies in all countries listed on the International Insurance Certificate (Green Card) that are not crossed out, and also when the vehicle is transported between two of those countries.

Unique selling points

  • No deductible applies to third-party liability (WA) claims, unlike the optional own-damage cover tiers.
  • Ominimo's own Alarmcentrale is reachable 24/7 for immediate post-accident assistance, included as standard in the base WA product.
  • Free damage-recovery support through the specialist BrandMR legal network when costs can be recovered from the at-fault third party.
  • Underwritten by DA Direkt, part of the Zurich Insurance Group, one of Europe's largest insurance companies, for financial security behind the digital Ominimo brand.
  • Automatic household discount applies when multiple policies are taken out, covering up to four vehicles at the same address.

Key conditions

Territorial scope

Cover applies in all countries listed on the Green Card that are not crossed out; using the insured vehicle abroad for more than 180 days in a policy year, whether continuous or not, voids cover.

Green card rules

The policyholder receives an International Insurance Certificate (Green Card); coverage also extends to the vehicle being transported between two of the listed countries.

Driver restrictions

No cover applies if the driver has no valid licence, holds a licence that does not match the vehicle type, is legally barred from driving, does not comply with applicable 2toDrive supervised-driving rules, or exceeds the legal alcohol/drug/medication limit or refuses a test.

Claim notification deadline

Report damage as soon as possible via ominimo.nl; the right to compensation lapses if not reported within 3 years. Theft, joyriding, break-in, vandalism, embezzlement, or fraud must be reported to the police immediately.

Bonus-malus rules

One extra claim-free year (schadevrije jaar) is earned per year without a claim; at-fault claims reduce the claim-free-years count according to a fixed table. For WA, if a paid claim is voluntarily repaid within 12 months, the original claim-free years are restored.
