Driver age experience limit | No explicit minimum driver age for basic Autocasco coverage. For the Ochrona Utraty Zniżki AC (Clause 03 / loss-of-discount protection), the vehicle owner/user must be at least 26 years old (exception for business policyholders) and must have at least 15% no-claims discount on Autocasco. Age restriction does not apply to business policyholders. | No minimum driver age restriction applies to the standard AC policy itself. However, a mandatory 25% own contribution (deductible) applies when the insured or vehicle user is a natural person (including sole traders with no more than 5 vehicles) who is under 26 years of age on the first day of the insurance period. | No additional excess or exclusion is applied for young or inexperienced drivers. Coverage is the same for all drivers authorised to operate the vehicle. The OWU does not impose minimum driver age or minimum years of experience as a coverage condition. However, premium calculation takes into account the age of the owner/co-owner/user of the vehicle (§11 ust. 1 pkt 10). | Autocasco Komfort is targeted at vehicle owners aged 30+ or legal entities. Drivers under 25 years of age or with a licence held less than 3 years are classified as increased-risk persons; in Autocasco Standard a 10% own-contribution applies to their claims but in Autocasco Komfort there are no deductibles for any driver. The OWU defines 'increased-risk persons' as those other than the vehicle owner/user who meet the age and licence criteria set by Warta at underwriting. |
Repair network requirements | Three repair settlement methods available: (1) Kosztorys – estimate-based, using Audatex system (labour rate 65 PLN/h brutto, alternative parts); (2) Sieć Partnerska – cashless settlement via ERGO Hestia's partner workshop network (max 110 PLN/h, alternative parts, includes 3-year warranty on repair; free replacement vehicle during repair); (3) ASO – service-based settlement at authorised dealer workshops using original OEM parts. For service-based variants, repair must be pre-agreed with ERGO Hestia. Repairs abroad (outside Poland) without prior consent are limited to 2,000 EUR (brutto) for safety-enabling repairs; costs settled in Poland based on invoices. | Three repair variants available: (1) Service variant – original manufacturer parts; hourly rate based on authorised service workshop averages in the relevant province; repairs can be carried out at any workshop chosen by the insured. (2) Optimal variant – alternative or discounted-original parts (discount applied by vehicle age: 30% for up to 3 years, 45% for 3–5 years, 55% for 5–8 years, 60% for over 8 years); any workshop eligible. (3) Partner variant – original parts at PZU partner workshops (ANS network); if a non-partner workshop is used, compensation is based on PZU valuation (optimal-rate methodology). SMART repair technology is available at specialised PZU network workshops for minor cosmetic damage. | UNIQA offers multiple repair settlement options: (1) Workshop variant (Serwis ASO) – repair at an authorised service station (ASO) of the vehicle brand; compensation based on official parts prices and ASO labour rates. (2) Workshop Plus (Warsztat Plus) – repair at any workshop; parts priced at original manufacturer prices, labour at non-authorised workshop rates. (3) Workshop (Warsztat) – alternative quality parts; non-ASO labour rates. (4) Estimate without depreciation (Kosztorys bez amortyzacji) – cost estimate using alternative parts, no depreciation applied. (5) Estimate with depreciation (Kosztorys z amortyzacją) – same but with depreciation applied. Selection of variant affects premium and compensation calculation. | Vehicle repairs should be carried out in Poland unless Warta or its foreign representative approves repair abroad. For partial losses Warta pays based on invoice from any workshop; ASO (authorised service station) labour rates apply for calculating compensation. For total losses converted to repair, repairs must be done at a Warta-recommended workshop (including ASO) or at a non-network workshop with Warta approval. Abroad, repairs without prior consent are reimbursable only up to EUR 1,500 equivalent. |
Territorial scope | Coverage applies in Europe (as defined in OWU: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, North Macedonia, Moldova, Malta, Monaco, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, Vatican, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, and European parts of Russia, Turkey and Kazakhstan), Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Israel, and Iran. Special conditions for Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine: deductible of 1,000 PLN (does not apply to vehicle collisions or contact with persons/animals/objects from outside). Coverage for vehicles registered in Poland only. | Standard AC coverage applies in Poland and other European countries, as well as Algeria, Morocco, Israel, and Tunisia. Theft claims in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova are excluded from standard cover (BRUM exclusion) but can be extended for an additional premium (§9 ust. 1 pkt 2). For damage incurred abroad, temporary essential repairs up to 2,500 EUR may be carried out without prior PZU approval; larger repairs require PZU approval or must be organised in Poland. | Coverage applies to the territory of Europe and other European countries (Russia and Turkey in their European parts) and to Morocco, Israel, and Tunisia. If not otherwise agreed and no additional premium is paid, losses due to fire, explosion, thermal or chemical action, vehicle theft, robbery, and theft of standard or additional equipment are excluded for the territories of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. Vehicle theft is excluded for Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Moldova unless specifically agreed. | Coverage applies in Poland and all other European countries (Russia and Turkey in their European parts), as well as Morocco, Tunisia and Israel. Losses occurring in Georgia are explicitly excluded from the insurance agreement. |
Anti theft requirements | For theft coverage: passenger cars up to 60,000 PLN market value require 1 anti-theft device; above 60,000 PLN require 2 devices; above 200,000 PLN require 3 devices. Trucks up to 3 tonnes, motorcycles and mopeds require at least 1 device. Trucks above 3 tonnes, articulated lorries and buses above 100,000 PLN require at least 1 device. For vehicles first registered outside Poland, installation and operability must be confirmed by an authorised service certificate (excluding factory-fitted door locks and steering wheel locks). Certificate requirement waived for continuous ERGO Hestia policyholders who have previously submitted the certificate. | After leaving the vehicle unattended, all keys/remote controls must be secured outside the vehicle, all factory-fitted anti-theft devices must be activated, and the vehicle must be secured as provided by its design. Failure to meet these conditions results in exclusion of theft coverage (§12 ust. 1 pkt 11), unless the thief used violence or threat of immediate violence, or unless the non-compliance had no causal link to the theft. Loss of keys or registration documents must be reported to PZU by the next working day; lock cylinders and anti-theft module codes must be replaced. | UNIQA bears liability for theft risk only if the vehicle was properly secured. For passenger cars: vehicles valued PLN 10,000–80,000 require one active anti-theft device; PLN 80,001–250,000 require two; above PLN 250,000 require three (one of which must be a mechanical gearbox lock or active GPS tracking system). For vehicles above PLN 250,000, two devices suffice if one is an active GPS system. Commercial vehicles up to 3.5t and motorcycles require at least one active device. Anti-theft devices must be factory-installed or installed by an authorised service station with the manufacturer's licence. | Warta will not pay theft claims where the vehicle was not secured against theft as required by its design at the time of theft (excluding robbery). A claim is also excluded if keys, cards or other devices used to open or start the vehicle were left unattended in the vehicle or in a place accessible to unauthorised persons, or if the perpetrator obtained them with the knowledge of the insured or authorised users. |
Claim notification deadline | The insured must notify ERGO Hestia of a loss immediately (niezwłocznie) after the event or upon learning of it. In the case of theft, keys loss, or criminal events, police must be notified within 24 hours of the event. ERGO Hestia must be notified within 3 days of loss occurrence (per KM/OW020/1010, §48). Failure to notify due to intentional fault or gross negligence may result in reduction of compensation if it contributed to the loss increase or prevented ERGO Hestia from determining circumstances. The insured must not begin repairs without ERGO Hestia's prior consent, unless ERGO Hestia failed to inspect within 7 days of loss notification. | Damage to vehicle or luggage occurring in Poland: notify PZU promptly, no later than 7 days from the date of the insured event. Damage occurring abroad: notify PZU no later than 7 days after re-entering Poland, or within 3 days if PZU assistance was needed before returning. Theft/crime-suspected damage: notify police immediately, notify PZU no later than the next working day. Vandalism: notify police within 12 hours, notify PZU by the next working day. The vehicle must not be repaired before PZU inspection (unless PZU fails to inspect within 7 or 14 days), except for safety-critical temporary repairs. | The policyholder must report claims immediately: no later than 7 business days from the date of loss or knowledge of the loss (for damage on Polish territory) by calling UNIQA Contact Center (+48 22 599 95 22) or via uniqa.pl, post, or fax. For theft, the vehicle's registration certificate, vehicle card, and all key sets must be submitted within 7 business days of learning of the theft. Police must be notified no later than 12 hours after learning of theft/robbery. Failure to meet obligations may result in partial or full denial of compensation if it affected the determination of UNIQA's liability or the size of the loss. | For non-theft damage: notify Warta no later than 7 days after the loss. For vehicle theft: notify Warta no later than the next business day after learning of the theft, and notify the police within 12 hours of learning of the theft. Failure to comply may result in claim reduction or denial if it prevented Warta from establishing circumstances and extent of loss. |
Deductible rules | Voluntary deductible (udział własny) can be introduced at policyholder's request to reduce the premium (per §17 KM/OW020/1010). Mandatory 1,000 PLN deductible for losses in Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine (excluding vehicle collision and contact with persons/animals/objects from outside). Windscreen replacement: 50 PLN deductible on windscreen/front panoramic glass repair or replacement. Legal protection (Ochrona Prawna): 200 PLN deductible per claim (excluding legal advice). No deductible for losses caused by robbery (rabunek). The sum insured is reduced by each paid compensation (consumption of sum insured), unless the Stała Suma Ubezpieczenia clause is selected. | Optional deductibles to reduce premium: (1) Fixed amount deductible: 500 PLN (standard reduction, applicable when AC Mini reduction is not chosen); (2) Percentage deductible: 10% or 20% of compensation; (3) Mandatory 20% deductible (min. 500 PLN) when AC Mini scope reduction applies; (4) Mandatory 25% deductible when insured is under 26 years old. When multiple deductibles apply simultaneously, they are applied sequentially from the largest. Deductibles reduce the compensation amount. | An integral deductible (franszyza integralna) of PLN 400 applies by default – UNIQA bears no liability for losses whose value does not exceed PLN 400. The policyholder may also select an optional deductible (udział własny) reducing the premium: for damage/destruction: PLN 0, 500, 1,000, or 2,000; for theft: 0% or 10%. The chosen deductible applies separately to each loss event. Introducing a deductible reduces the premium. The PLN 400 integral deductible does not apply to losses from optional extensions (child seat, locks/keys, AutoKoło tyres). | Autocasco Komfort contains no deductibles (franchise integralna) or voluntary excess (udział własny) for any driver. 100% of the assessed claim value is paid. This distinguishes Komfort from the Standard variant, where optional deductibles can be configured to lower the premium. |

In the partner repair variant, payment is made cashlessly directly to the partner workshop. For total loss and theft, compensation is paid based on vehicle market value at the date of claim settlement. Costs incurred abroad are reimbursed in PLN at NBP average exchange rate on the date of settlement. | Claims are settled in Polish zloty (PLN). In the workshop variant, compensation is based on invoices for completed repairs. In the estimate variant, compensation is based on UNIQA's own cost estimate using Audatex or Eurotax systems. UNIQA pays the compensation directly to the insured or their authorised representative. For theft total loss, payment requires transfer of vehicle title to UNIQA and deregistration certificate. Compensation deadline: 30 days from claim notification; extended to 14 days after circumstances are clarified if not possible within 30 days. | Warta pays compensation directly to the insured or to the repair workshop (cashless settlement) within 30 days of claim notification; in complex cases up to 14 additional days after circumstances are clarified.
