Direct payment

Indemnity is paid by bank transfer in PLN to the insured's bank account within 30 days of receiving notification of the insured event. If circumstances cannot be established within that period, the undisputed portion is paid within 30 days and the remainder within 14 days of when resolution was possible. For total-loss theft, the insured must first transfer vehicle ownership to Generali and submit a deregistration decision.

Geographic scope

Poland and European geographic states including European part of Turkey (Thrace); theft excluded in Albania, Moldova, Ukraine; Russia, Belarus, Crimea and Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories excluded entirely

Coverage applies to insured events arising in Poland, all geographically European states and the European part of Turkey (Thrace up to the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus/Dardanelles straits), excluding Russia, Belarus, the Crimea region, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory). Theft of vehicle/parts is additionally excluded in Albania, Moldova and Ukraine.

Unique selling points

  • Three selectable coverage tiers (Mini/Midi/Maxi) allow matching of protection level to vehicle age and budget, with the insured sum not reduced after partial-loss payments.
  • Midi and Maxi variants include travel baggage coverage (up to PLN 4,000 in Maxi) and child car seat protection (PLN 1,000) at no additional premium.
  • Coverage extends across all geographically European countries (including European Turkey), with repairs abroad up to EUR 1,000 permitted without prior insurer approval.
  • Maxi variant uses manufacturer-authorised service parts (Części oryginalne serwisowe) and actual ASO labour rates, delivering factory-standard repairs for vehicles up to 9 years old.
  • The vehicle age restriction does not apply upon renewal in the same variant, enabling long-term policyholders to maintain their coverage tier regardless of vehicle age.

Total loss (constructive or actual)

Covered

A total loss is declared when estimated repair costs (calculated gross, including VAT, using Audatex/Eurotax/DAT systems with manufacturer time norms and variant-appropriate parts pricing) exceed 70% of the vehicle's market value on the day of loss. Indemnity equals the market value of the vehicle on the day of loss (per Eurotax) minus the market value of salvage remains. Maxi variant: labour rate based on average ASO rates in the registration province; Mini/Midi: based on average rates in Generali partner workshops outside ASO network. Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

The OWU does not specify a minimum driver age or minimum driving experience as a condition of coverage. Premium calculation factors include the age of the vehicle owner/co-owner and their claims history, but no minimum age exclusion is stated.

Repair network requirements

Mini and Midi variants: damage indemnity is settled via Generali's valuation or invoices from Generali partner workshops (non-ASO). Maxi variant: indemnity may be settled via Generali valuation or invoices from any workshop including ASO. Labour rate for Maxi: actual workshop rate up to the average ASO rate in the vehicle's registration province. Labour rate for Mini/Midi: average rate of Generali partner workshops outside ASO, or 60 PLN net/hour where no invoices are submitted.

Territorial scope

Insured events covered in Poland, all geographically European states and European Turkey (Thrace). Excluded entirely: Russia, Belarus, Crimea, Zaporizhzhia/Kherson/Donetsk/Luhansk oblasts (Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory). Theft of vehicle/parts additionally excluded in Albania, Moldova and Ukraine.

Anti-theft requirements

Theft coverage is excluded if the loss resulted from the insured's intentional act or gross negligence in failing to secure keys, remote controls, code cards or vehicle documents outside the vehicle. The insured must report theft to the police immediately, no later than 12 hours after becoming aware of the theft. On notification of theft, the insured must surrender all keys, remote controls and the vehicle registration certificate (and vehicle card if issued) to Generali, unless lost during robbery or other notified circumstances.

Claim notification deadline

Claims arising in Poland: notify Generali without delay, no later than 7 business days from the date of loss or from the date of becoming aware of it. Claims arising abroad: same 7-business-day deadline. Theft must additionally be reported to the police immediately and no later than 12 hours after becoming aware of it. Failure to notify within the deadline (if due to wilful intent or gross negligence) entitles Generali to reduce the indemnity proportionally to the impact on loss determination.

Deductible rules

The OWU does not mention any standard deductible (udział własny / franszyza) applied to indemnity payments. Individual deductible amounts may be agreed in the policy document. Wear-and-tear deductions are applied to certain consumable parts (tyres, battery, exhaust system, brake and clutch friction elements) proportional to their actual condition.
