Regulatory updates
TU Europa S.A. remains authorised and supervised by the KNF as a non-life insurer (KRS 0000002736). In November 2020, the KNF imposed a PLN 1.5 million fine on the life insurance sister entity Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie Europa S.A. for failure to ensure effective asset and liability management in relation to the UFK DEBT & EQUITY II product; the decision was upheld in March 2021. As of 31 December 2023, TU Europa S.A. reported a solvency ratio (SCR coverage) of 250.7%, indicating a stable and strong capital position. Talanx AG acquired full ownership of TU Europa in early 2026 after purchasing Meiji Yasuda's remaining 50% minus one share.
