Regulatory updates
Caravela is registered with the ASF under code 1133 and is authorised only for non-life insurance business (it does not sell capitalisation products). Its 2024 Solvency and Financial Condition Report shows a solvency ratio above 150%, positive operating cash flow of over €30 million, and equity of around €70 million, though technical liabilities were strengthened by more than €17 million leading to a negative net result for the year. Caravela was also named by the ASF among the insurers that fully adopted its recommendations on premium payment notices. In July 2026 Allianz Portugal agreed to acquire 100% of Caravela from Toscafund and other shareholders; the transaction is pending approval by the ASF and the Autoridade da Concorrência.
