Ageas Portugal – Companhia de Seguros, S.A. is registered with ASF under number 1129, and Ageas Portugal – Companhia de Seguros de Vida, S.A. under number 1039. In April 2026, following Shareholders' General Meeting approval and a favourable ASF opinion, José Reino da Costa joined the Board of Directors of the Grupo Ageas Portugal entities for the 2026-2028 mandate, succeeding Nelson Bessa Machado. In Q1 2026, direct insurance production in Portugal grew 18.2% year-on-year, with Life up 28.1%; by Q2 2026, overall production growth reached 18.1%, with Life up 27.5% (driven by a 31.9% rise in Unit/Non-Linked Life) and Non-Life up 9.2%. On 18 August 2026 the ASF approved Regulatory Norm No. 5/2026-R on quarterly capital update indices for Fire and Natural Elements policies, and on 14 July 2026 issued Circular No. 8/2026 on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing. The ASF also published its 9th edition of the Atualidade Regulatória report summarizing legislative and regulatory developments for the insurance and pension fund sectors.
