Regulatory updates
Generali Romania holds a valid insurance authorisation from ASF under code RA-002 (original CSA authorisation no. 3/23.10.2001). In July 2025, ASF approved the acquisition project by Delfin S.à.r.l. of an indirect qualified participation in Generali Romania Asigurare Reasigurare S.A. following an involuntary threshold breach; in December 2025, ASF formally approved Delfin S.à.r.l. as indirect significant shareholder. In October 2025, ASF approved changes to the allocation keys for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses between Generali Romania's general and life insurance activities. The RCA premium price ceiling, which had been in place since April 2023, was lifted on 1 July 2025, returning the market to fully liberalised pricing. The company's 2024 Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR), approved by the Supervisory Council on 4 April 2025, confirms the company ranked 4th on the Romanian insurance market with a 9.4% market share in Q3 2024 and gross written premiums of approximately RON 1.81 billion in 2024. Generali Romania remained one of seven ASF-authorised RCA insurers in 2025.
