Direct payment

For casco claims, Allianz pays the repair workshop directly when an authorised contract service is used (direct billing without the insured paying out of pocket). For MTPL claims, payment is made directly to the injured party. For total loss or budget settlement, the insured receives a bank transfer within 2 business days of accepting the offer.

Casco coverages (except legal assistance) apply on the geographic territory of Europe. Assistance services apply in Europe including European part of Turkey and Greek part of Cyprus, excluding Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. Legal assistance limited to Slovak Republic.

Own Damage (Collision / Accident)

Covered

Covers damage to the insured vehicle, its parts and accessories resulting from sudden, accidental, external events causing mechanical damage (collision or impact of the insured vehicle with another object). Available exclusively in the MAX package. Total loss is declared when repair costs exceed 90% of the vehicle's general value; in that case, indemnity is preferred over repair. Coverage is up to the insured sum stated in the policy.

Total loss is declared when repair costs exceed 90% of the vehicle's general value (všeobecná hodnota). Indemnity is paid up to the insured sum (general value at time of loss). For vehicles up to 6 months old (MAX package only), GAP insurance additionally covers the difference between the original purchase price (east-isková hodnota nového vozidla) and the general value.

Partial Loss (Repair)

Covered

Covers partial vehicle damage up to the insured sum. Repairs must be authorised by the insurer; if the insured demonstrates the extent of damage and the insurer does not respond within 7 days, the insured may proceed with repair. Repair costs are settled based on actual invoiced amounts at contract or non-contract workshops, subject to applicable labour rate caps (max 36 EUR/hr incl. VAT at non-authorised non-contract workshops).

Theft and Robbery

Covered

Covers theft of a properly secured vehicle, its parts or accessories, damage to vehicle parts due to theft or attempted theft, and theft of luggage stored inside the vehicle (insured sum for luggage: 1,200 EUR; max 200 EUR per single item). Requires a police report. Vehicle must have activated anti-theft security system. Not payable if keys were left in the vehicle or the security system was not activated. Available in EXTRA and MAX packages.

Glass Damage

Covered

Covers damage or destruction of glass parts of the vehicle (all glazing) resulting from accident (impact to glass), theft or attempted theft, vandalism, or animal damage to a parked vehicle up to the insured sum stated in the policy. If glass can be repaired without replacement, indemnity is capped at 30 EUR incl. VAT. Road tax stickers and technical/emission inspection stickers are excluded. Does not apply to trailers or semi-trailers (except residential caravan/trailer). Available in EXTRA and MAX packages.

Natural Perils (Weather / Elemental Events)

Covered

Covers damage to the insured vehicle caused by natural perils: flood, inundation, mechanical damage from water flow, storm (wind ≥75 km/h), violent wind (wind ≥60 km/h), hail, atmospheric precipitation, lightning strike, earthquake, land subsidence, snow/ice burden, avalanche. Excludes damage caused by environmental contamination or by an open/dismantled part of the vehicle that would have prevented or reduced the loss (e.g. open windows, doors, bonnet, boot). Available in PLUS, EXTRA and MAX packages.

Vandalism

Covered

Covers damage to the insured vehicle resulting from vandalism (intentional damage to property as defined by the Slovak Criminal Code or Misdemeanour Act). Requires a police report. Excludes damage caused by gross negligence of the authorised person (e.g. leaving the vehicle unattended in an isolated location, leaving keys in the vehicle). Tyre damage alone (where tread depth is below legal minimum) is also excluded. Available in EXTRA and MAX packages.

Roadside Assistance (Extended)

The MAX package includes extended assistance services (Allianz Assistance, 24/7, available throughout Europe incl. European Turkey and Greek Cyprus, excl. Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova): on-site repair (up to 1 hr labour), vehicle towing (up to 150 km or to nearest authorised service), tyre change, fuel delivery, replacement vehicle (see dedicated field), accommodation (up to 3 nights at 75 EUR/person/night in a 3-star hotel if vehicle became immobile more than 50 km from home address and repair exceeds 24 hrs), return home (1st class train/bus; plane for distances >750 km), return for recovered vehicle, transport of mortal remains, wreck removal (up to 125 EUR), person transport (up to 100 km). Battery assistance max 2× per policy period.

Replacement Vehicle

Covered

Included in the MAX package as part of extended assistance services. In case of breakdown, wrong fuel, lock-out or key loss: up to 4 consecutive calendar days, max 2× per policy period. In case of damage, total loss, vandalism or theft (police report required): up to 6 consecutive calendar days. In MAX package, replacement vehicle is also available when the insured vehicle is still driveable. Class: one class below the insured vehicle, max lower-middle class (e.g. VW Golf, Škoda Rapid). For EV: max lower-middle class EV; if unavailable, combustion engine equivalent. Insurer organises and covers actual rental costs incl. delivery/pick-up within 50 km. The rental agreement is signed directly with the rental company under its conditions.

Driver and Passenger Accident Insurance (Extended)

Covered

The MAX package includes extended accident insurance covering the driver and all passengers who are participants in a traffic accident (while driving, boarding/alighting, or loading/unloading). Covers: death by accident (paid at insured sum in policy); permanent consequences of injury ≥70% (paid at insured sum in policy). Limits are double those of the COMFORT package. Exact sums are stated in the policy. Excludes: suicide/self-harm; participation in unlawful/violent acts; disability/death unrelated to the covered accident; events during a period when the insured vehicle lacked a valid technical inspection or was unfit for road use; transport of persons contrary to legal regulations; persons transported in a trailer or semi-trailer.

Key conditions

driver_age_experience_limit

The driver must be at least 24 years of age. The vehicle must not be older than 12 years at the time of entering into the casco (EXTRA/MAX) coverage. GAP insurance (financial loss) is available only for vehicles not older than 6 months from first registration or first use as a new vehicle (whichever comes first).

repair_network_requirements

Repairs must be authorised by Allianz before commencement. If the insured demonstrates the extent of damage and Allianz does not respond within 7 days, repair may begin without prior approval. At a contract (authorised) workshop: materials up to manufacturer list prices; labour per manufacturer norms and hourised rates of the authorised repair centre. At a non-contract, non-authorised workshop: labour rate capped at 36 EUR incl. VAT; painting coefficient max 100%. Allianz pays the workshop directly (direct billing) at contract services. Repairs abroad require prior Allianz consent; without consent, reimbursement is limited to Slovak-equivalent costs or costs of minimum necessary temporary repair.

All casco coverages (own damage, theft, vandalism, natural perils, glass, fire) apply on the geographic territory of Europe. Assistance services apply in Europe including the European part of Turkey and the Greek part of Cyprus, excluding Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. Legal assistance is limited to the Slovak Republic. MTPL is valid in all Green Card system countries.

anti_theft_requirements

The vehicle must be equipped with an anti-theft security system commensurate with the insured sum. For vehicles with insured value above 50,000 EUR incl. VAT, two separate security devices are required. Accepted devices: alarm, mechanical steering column lock, electronic tracking/locating system (GPS tracker), immobiliser. Security must be activated at all times when the vehicle is unattended. Vehicles with manufacturer-fitted or certified third-party-installed security are accepted. No security requirements for tractors, other agricultural machinery, construction equipment or trailers.

claim_notification_deadline

The insured must notify Allianz of a claim event within 15 days if it occurred on Slovak territory, and within 30 days if it occurred abroad. Preferably as soon as possible and within 24 hours. Late notification (after 15 days / 30 days respectively) entitles Allianz to reduce indemnity by 20%. Claims can be reported online at www.allianz.sk/skoda or by phone +421 2 50 122 222. deductible_rules

The deductible (spoluúčasť) amount is agreed in the policy contract. Based on market sources, available deductible options are 100 EUR or 200 EUR per claim. The deductible is deducted from each individual claim payment. No deductible applies if: (a) the vehicle was damaged in an accident and the insured is not at fault (damage covered from the at-fault party's MTPL); (b) repair of the windscreen (without replacement) following mechanical damage by any accidental event, provided no other vehicle damage occurred. Deductible does not apply to MTPL, legal assistance, assistance services, accident insurance and GAP insurance. A 50% increased deductible applies for EXTRA/MAX packages in the period between policy start and successful photo inspection, but minimum the contractual deductible.
