Genertel operates in Slovakia as a branch using the trademark of Generali Poisťovňa, a.s. Following the December 2021 merger of Generali Poisťovňa, a.s. and Generali Česká pojišťovna, a.s., Genertel now operates under the official name "Generali Poisťovňa, pobočka poisťovne z iného členského štátu, používateľ ochrannej známky Genertel", supervised by the National Bank of Slovakia together with the home regulator in the Czech Republic. Earlier, in 2015, the National Bank of Slovakia approved the transformation merging the Hungarian Genertel branch and the Austrian European Travel Insurance (ECP) branch into Generali Poisťovňa, a.s. as separate divisions (odštepné závody).
