Modra zavarovalnica is Slovenia's leading provider of supplementary pension insurance and the country's largest payer of supplementary pensions, managing mutual pension funds for private-sector and public-sector employees. It was established in October 2011 through a spin-off from Kapitalska družba, which remains its sole shareholder, and today serves over 321,000 savers and more than 2,200 employers, in addition to offering accident insurance directly and legal protection and travel insurance as an agent.
