Regulatory updates
Sanitas is registered and actively supervised by Spain's DGSFP, which is the primary regulatory authority for insurance entities in Spain. In March 2025, Spain's competition authority (CNMC) opened an investigation with a maximum resolution period of 24 months into a possible anti-competitive agreement between Sanitas and Generali, following complaints from healthcare associations and medical professionals about tariff pressures and competition restrictions.
