Regulatory updates
A major structural change is underway: Grupo Mutua Propietarios notified DGSFP on 30 December 2021 of a merger by absorption (fusión por absorción) of Mutual de Conductors (absorbed entity) by Mutua de Propietarios, Seguros y Reaseguros a Prima Fija (absorbing entity). The merger was approved by both entities' general assemblies in February 2022. The operation improves solvency by €9 million, incorporates €28 million in assets and €5 million in premiums, and adds legal defence capabilities to the Grupo Mutua Propietarios. MDC's brokerage arm (MDC Correduría) was integrated into Mutuarisk as of 1 July 2023. The segurosmdc.com website continues to display an active public information period announcement for policyholders regarding the absorption.
