Regulatory updates
Hedvig received its own insurance license from Finansinspektionen in March 2021, moving from being an insurance broker to a licensed insurance company usable across the EU. In June 2022 it expanded its concession to include sickness (class 2) and assistance (class 18) insurance, adding to its existing classes covering accident, cargo, fire, other property damage, general liability, other financial loss and legal expenses. In 2025 Hedvig simplified its corporate structure by consolidating group operations into Hedvig Försäkring AB.
