Coverage limits
Own vehicle damage cover (Full/Puno kasko)
Covered
Covers damage to or loss of the insured vehicle arising from sudden, short-term events independent of the insured's or driver's will, including traffic accidents, theft or unauthorized use, vandalism, impact, fire and explosion, natural forces (lightning, rockslide, landslide, avalanche, snow pressure, hail, storm), flood-type perils, animal damage, sudden chemical/thermal effects, and demonstrations. The insurer's maximum liability cannot exceed the premium calculation basis (sum insured) stated on the policy.
Total loss indemnification
Covered
Total loss exists when the vehicle is destroyed, has disappeared through theft/unauthorized use and is not found within 1 month, or repair costs reach 75% or more of the market value (economic total loss). Base indemnity equals the replacement value of an equivalent vehicle, minus salvage value and deductible. For extra premium (15% surcharge), cover can be extended to pay 100% of the purchase price within 12 months of first registration, or to GAP cover (also 15% surcharge) that additionally reimburses the outstanding leasing/credit balance, up to 120% of the vehicle's market value.
Partial damage repair cover
Covered
For partial damage, the established repair cost is reduced by the market value of parts replaced (with proration for new tires, batteries and tarpaulins), including demounting, mounting and transport costs; costs relating to technical improvements or increases in vehicle value are not reimbursed.
Theft and unauthorized use cover
Covered
Covers theft or unauthorized use of the vehicle; the insured event is deemed to occur once 30 days have passed from the police report of the theft without the vehicle being found. A separate optional extension (extra premium) covers theft of portable technical/electronic devices from the vehicle during a break-in to a locked M1-category vehicle, up to a maximum of €1,500 per claim, provided the items were not visible from outside.
Glass breakage cover
Conditional
Full (Puno) kasko does not list glass/light breakage as a stand-alone named peril; window, windscreen or mirror damage is indemnified only when it results from a peril otherwise covered under Puno kasko (e.g. traffic accident, hail, vandalism, falling object). A separately branded, parking-only 'Djelomično kasko' product (not covered by this record) provides cause-agnostic glass and light breakage cover regardless of cause.
Natural perils cover
Covered
Covers direct lightning strike, rockslide, rockfall, landslide, avalanche, snow pressure, hail and storm (wind speed above 62 km/h), as well as torrents, water discharge, high/underground water and flooding. Earthquake damage is excluded by default but can be added as an optional extension for a 2% premium surcharge (minimum €30).
Vandalism cover
Covered
Malicious damage to or destruction of the insured vehicle caused by a third party is covered as a standard named peril under Puno kasko.
Towing / vehicle recovery cost cover
€1,000 – €2,000
Adriatic reimburses the cost of extracting, towing or transporting the damaged vehicle to the nearest repair shop, capped at €1,000 for passenger cars and motorcycles and €2,000 for other vehicle types, unless otherwise agreed. This cap can be removed entirely via an optional extension (unlimited towing/recovery costs) for a 20% premium surcharge.
Replacement / courtesy vehicle
No limit stated
No replacement or courtesy vehicle benefit is mentioned in any of the reviewed sources; the T&C explicitly excludes 'the cost of a replacement vehicle' from indemnifiable items.
Driver personal accident cover
No limit stated
No driver personal-accident benefit is part of this kasko product in the reviewed sources; personal accident cover is offered by Adriatic as a separate 'Nezgoda' insurance line, not bundled into casco.
Key conditions
Driver age and experience limit
No general minimum driver age or experience requirement for policy eligibility is stated. However, a zero-tolerance (any detectable alcohol) rule applies to certain driver categories including 'young/novice drivers' (mladi vozač), driving instructors and category C/D/H drivers when determining alcohol-related exclusions.
Repair network requirements
The insurer has the right to determine the place of repair or to organize and carry out the repair itself. Alternatively, the insured can choose settlement based on a submitted repair invoice (paid only after the repair is completed and the invoice submitted) or a cash settlement based on the estimated/fictional repair cost.
Territorial scope
Cover applies across Europe, in any case in Green Card System countries or EEA states, explicitly excluding Morocco, Moldova, Tunisia, Israel, Azerbaijan and Iran unless separately agreed with an additional premium.
Anti-theft requirements
The insured must lock the vehicle when leaving it, close windows/roof, remove ignition keys and any detachable visible parts, engage the handbrake, and must not leave vehicle keys, electronic immobilizer remote controls or registration documents inside the vehicle or in places easily accessible to third parties.
Claim notification deadline
The insured event must be reported within one week (7 days) of its occurrence or of becoming aware of it. Traffic accidents, wildlife/animal collisions, theft, vandalism and parked-vehicle damage must be reported to the nearest police station immediately; a theft claim is only deemed to mature after 30 days from the police report if the vehicle remains unfound.
Deductible rules
A mandatory minimum deductible of €200 per claim applies unless otherwise agreed, and can be bought out for an extra premium. Regardless of the agreed deductible, if two or more claims are reported within one insurance year, an additional mandatory deductible applies, scaling from 15% of the claim (min €200 / max €750) for the 2nd claim up to 50% of the claim (min €750 / max €4,000) for the 4th and every subsequent claim in the same year.
