Travel assistance is delivered through Assist America, which provides a hospital admission guarantee for members and, if necessary, advances funds directly to the treating facility to guarantee care, rather than requiring the insured to pay upfront and claim reimbursement, for services it arranges (medical referrals, emergency medical transport, repatriation, etc.). Assist America explicitly does not reimburse for medical transport or other services arranged independently by the member outside of its coordination.
