Regulatory updates
In February 2025 the Czech National Bank fined Allianz pojišťovna CZK 3.5 million for deceptive practices, after the insurer in 2023 contacted tens of thousands of property insurance clients demanding payment of a purported 'debt' related to under-insurance valorization, using misleading terminology even though clients had no actual outstanding debt. The CNB's 2025 supervisory report on the financial market also notes that in 2025 the CNB initiated two sanction proceedings against insurers and concluded three administrative proceedings, imposing fines in two cases, one of which involved Allianz pojišťovna.
