Direct payment

Repairs must not be started or carried out without prior agreement with easySure or one of its appraisers; on approved claims easySure settles the taxed repair amount directly with the workshop rather than reimbursing the customer.

Unique selling points

  • No hidden fees — the only charge for late payment is a fixed 100 DKK reminder fee, with no other surprise costs.
  • Modular, self-configured car insurance where customers pick exactly which add-ons (Kasko, Elbil, Vejhjælp, Førerplads, etc.) they need on top of the mandatory liability cover.
  • Number-plate theft is covered with no deductible under Kasko, and trailer/caravan liability is automatically included at no extra charge.
  • Fully digital self-service: the Green Card can be generated and downloaded instantly from the customer's online profile before travelling abroad.
  • No mandatory repair-shop network — customers can freely choose their own workshop or one of easySure's partner garages.

Optional

Only in Førerplads

Optional add-on covering the driver of the insured vehicle when no liable third party, liability insurer or statutory occupational injury scheme can pay; benefits include lost income, pain and suffering, permanent injury, loss of earning capacity, treatment costs, up to 30,000 DKK funeral assistance and up to 30,000 DKK for dental injury (both non-indexed), assessed per the Danish Liability for Damages Act.

Passenger personal injury (under liability cover)

Covered

The mandatory liability insurance covers personal injury to passengers of the insured vehicle, and to the policyholder when not driving, unless separate driver's-seat cover has been bought (in which case the driver is covered too). No separate sum insured is stated; compensation follows the Liability for Damages Act.

Key conditions

Territorial scope

The insurance covers driving in Denmark and in countries that are members of the Green Card scheme; when driving abroad in a Green Card country the local sums apply, but never less than the sums applicable in Denmark.

Green card rules

The Green Card document proves valid Danish liability cover to customs and police authorities in non-EU countries affiliated with the scheme; a list of affiliated countries is available from DFIM (Danish Council for International Motor Vehicle Insurance), and the card can be downloaded via the customer's online profile before travel.

Driver restrictions

Vehicles must be used privately only; commercial use must be reported. If the car is lent to a driver under 26, an extra 5,000 DKK deductible applies unless Plusdækning has been added. Liability cover does not apply to drivers without a valid licence (unless the lack of driving skill is proven unrelated to the damage), drivers impaired by alcohol, medicine or drugs, or vehicles rented out without a driver.

Claim notification deadline

Claims must be reported to easySure as soon as possible with all relevant information; theft and vandalism must be reported to the police immediately, and for damage abroad written confirmation from the local police must accompany the claim notification.

Bonus-malus rules

No formal bonus/malus scale is described. Instead, easySure states that having more claims than normal, or suspected fraud, may lead to the policy being changed so that the price and/or deductible increases; conversely, holding several easySure products (Samlerabat) increases a discount that changes as products are added or cancelled.
