Key conditions

Territorial scope

The liability insurance covers driving in all EU countries and in non-EU countries participating in the international Green Card scheme, applying the visited country's legislation but at least the Danish sums.

Green card rules

The Green Card is an international insurance certificate documenting that the owner/user has mandatory liability cover while driving abroad; it lists all countries participating in the scheme.

Driver restrictions

Anyone lawfully using the car, or driving it with the policyholder's permission, is covered as insured. Liability insurance does not cover damage to the driver's own person or to property owned by the driver, the regular user, the policyholder or their spouse/partner; cover is excluded if the driver lacked a valid licence, acted with intent or gross negligence, or was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unless the insured can show the injury was unrelated.

Claim notification deadline

Report a claim as soon as possible via storstrom.dk or by phone on 5555 8888; theft and vandalism must always be reported to the police in the country where it occurred, and as soon as possible.

Bonus-malus rules

The policy has a fixed price with no step-based (bonus-malus) premium increase after a claim — the price does not rise because of a claim. The insurer does, however, reserve the right to individually reassess the policy's terms, deductible or price if it deems it necessary, e.g. after a high number of claims.
