Treatment of illnesses or symptoms diagnosed before the policy's effective date is explicitly excluded (clause 4.5.1.4). These include windsurfing, kitesurfing, weightlifting, powerlifting, ice hockey, ATV/snowmobile, competitive sports participation, mass sports events (e.g. marathon), and multi-day trekking in remote areas with a professional guide up to 5000m altitude. For annual multi-trip policies, trips are unlimited in number but each individual trip may last a maximum of 90 consecutive days (clause 1.1.2).
