Coverage limits
Own Damage (All Accidents) Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
Covers accidental damage to the insured vehicle from collision with an external object, roll-over without prior collision, vandalism (subject to a police complaint), transport by air/river/sea/land, and door/bonnet impacts. Without the Indemnisation renforcée option, indemnity for a repairable vehicle is the cost of repairs capped at the expert-assessed replacement value; with the option, a destroyed/irreparable vehicle is reimbursed at its purchase price for the first 36 months from first registration, then at expert replacement value plus 30% (capped at purchase price), less deductible.
Total Loss / Economically Irreparable Vehicle Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
If the vehicle is destroyed, declared economically irreparable, or stolen and not recovered, indemnity (without the Indemnisation renforcée option) is the expert-assessed replacement value on the day of the loss, capped at the purchase price, less salvage value if retained. A minimum guaranteed indemnity of €1,200 TTC applies in these cases regardless of assessed value.
Partial Loss / Repairable Vehicle Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
If the insured vehicle is repairable, the indemnity corresponds to the cost of repairs as evaluated by the insurer's claims department or expert, without exceeding the expert replacement value of the vehicle on the day of the loss, less the applicable deductible.
Theft Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
Covers theft and attempted theft of the insured vehicle, dispossession during a sale test-drive, and theft of vehicle components even if the vehicle itself is not stolen. A minimum guaranteed indemnity of €1,200 TTC applies if the vehicle is not recovered; accessories are capped at €200 TTC per claim. Cover is conditional on any anti-theft protection devices stated in the Special Conditions, proof of which must be produced after a claim.
Glass Breakage Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
Covers repair or replacement of the windscreen, rear window, side windows, and front/fog headlight lenses. Indemnity is limited to the cost of parts and the number of labour hours defined by the manufacturer at local market prices, on presentation of the original paid invoice; a prior claim number from the insurer's claims line is required before any repair.
Fire and Natural Events / Natural Catastrophe Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
Covers fire or explosion, lightning strike, storm, hail, flood, hurricane, cyclone, tornado, tidal wave, avalanche, landslide, falling rocks, and the weight of snow, plus electrical damage from a short-circuit. Natural Catastrophe cover pays for direct uninsurable material damage once an official interministerial decree recognising the state of natural catastrophe is published; a legal deductible of €380 per damaged vehicle applies. These guarantees apply in France only.
Vandalism Coverage
Covered
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
Vandalism is covered as part of the All Accidents Damage guarantee, provided a complaint is filed with the police or gendarmerie.

€160 – €300
Mondial Assistance organises and covers on-site breakdown assistance or towing to the nearest garage, up to €160 TTC in the daytime and €300 TTC at night/weekends/public holidays/on motorways; the insurer promises a 1-hour response or reimburses €30. A kilometre-based deductible of 25 km normally applies for breakdown, but this is waived (0 km) for accident, puncture, fuel error and lost/broken/locked-in keys, and fully waived for all events under the optional Assistance renforcée included by default in the Tous Risques Plus formula.
Replacement Vehicle
Conditional
Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing
Under the Assistance renforcée service, a replacement vehicle (up to category D, unlimited mileage) is provided for a maximum of 7 days in case of breakdown, 15 days in case of accident/attempted theft/vandalism, and 30 days in case of theft, fire or write-off, provided towing was organised by Mondial Assistance. This service is included by default in the Tous Risques Plus formula and available as a paid option in the Tous Risques and Leasing formulas.

Only in Tous Risques, Tous Risques Plus, Leasing

The enhanced 'Protection du conducteur renforcée' raises the ceiling to €1,000,000 (same sub-limits) and lowers the qualifying threshold to a permanent functional deficit above 5%; it is included by default in the Tous Risques Plus formula and available as a paid option in the Tous Risques and Leasing formulas.
Key conditions
Driver age and experience limit
Coverage does not apply if the driver has not reached the legal driving age or does not hold a valid driving licence at the time of the loss. A specific 'prêt de volant' deductible applies when the vehicle is driven by someone other than the designated drivers, unless that person has held a licence for at least 3 years.
Repair network requirements
Policyholders have free choice of repairer (article L 211-5-1 of the Insurance Code), but can also use the insurer's partner network of around 2,000 qualified or approved garages, where repair costs are not advanced and repairs are guaranteed for life.
Territorial scope
Cover applies in metropolitan France and French overseas departments/regions, in EU member states, and for stays of less than 3 months in Vatican City, San Marino, Monaco, Liechtenstein and non-excluded Green Card countries; Attack, Natural Catastrophe and Technological Catastrophe guarantees apply in France only.
Anti-theft requirements
For certain vehicles, the Theft guarantee is conditional on the protective devices specified in the Special Conditions (e.g. window etching, electronic immobiliser); proof of these devices must be provided after a claim, failing which all right to indemnification is lost.
Claim notification deadline
Accidents, fire and other events (excluding theft) must be declared within 5 business days; theft or attempted theft must be reported to the police within 2 business days and the receipt forwarded to the insurer; Natural Catastrophe claims must be declared within 30 days of the publication of the official decree recognising the state of natural catastrophe.
Deductible rules
Deductibles ('franchises') apply per type of guarantee (damage, theft, fire, glass breakage, natural catastrophe) as stated in the Special Conditions and can be cumulative; the natural catastrophe deductible is set by law at €380 per damaged vehicle; the damage deductible is doubled if the declared annual mileage cap (e.g. 6,000 km) is exceeded; a specific deductible of 20% (capped at €100) applies when damage is limited to a panoramic roof or sunroof.
