Regulatory updates
In May 2022, the ACPR sanctioned MGEN Vie with a public reprimand and a €1 million fine for failures in managing unclaimed death benefits and beneficiary searches under the AGIRA framework, related to death, disability, and funeral expense guarantees attached to health contracts between 2010 and 2018. The ACPR also decided to transfer MGEN's surety (Caution) business to Parnasse Garanties and revoked MGEN's authorization for branch 15-Caution, while MGEN retains its approval for branches 1-Accidents and 2-Maladie. In 2024, MGEN was selected to manage the new mandatory health insurance contract (PSC) for staff of the Ministry of National Education, effective progressively from 2025-2026.
