Regulatory updates
DFV received its BaFin licence to operate as a primary insurer effective 1 January 2007. In 2024, Luxembourg-based Haron Holding S.A., which already held about 9.3% of shares (with owner Luca Pesarini holding a further stake), launched a voluntary public takeover and delisting offer at EUR 6.60 per share; the delisting from Frankfurt Stock Exchange's Prime Standard was completed by the end of 2024. BaFin has also approved extensions of DFV's cross-border direct insurance business, including expansion into Austria since 2020/2022.
