Regulatory updates
Effective 24 July 2025, HanseMerkur Holding AG converted its legal form into a European stock corporation (Societas Europaea, SE), becoming HanseMerkur Holding SE, in order to support international growth, particularly in travel insurance across the EU; the group's headquarters, management and supervisory board composition remain unchanged in Hamburg. BaFin also continues to publish individual cross-border authorizations for group entities, such as service-business approvals for HanseMerkur Allgemeine Versicherung AG and reinsurance business authorization for the Liechtenstein-based HanseMerkur International AG in Germany.
