Regulatory updates
URV is supervised by BaFin (Insurance and Pension Funds Supervision) and participates in the Ombudsman's dispute resolution scheme (Versicherungsombudsmann) for consumer complaints. In 2023 the company modernized its IT infrastructure and migrated to a new platform, and in 2024 it revised its travel cancellation tariffs to be more customer-friendly, e.g. raising the co-insured children's age limit from 21 to 25 and adding further benefits.
