Regulatory updates
vigo Krankenversicherung VVaG is supervised by BaFin and is registered at Amtsgericht Düsseldorf under HRB 21 160. It is a member of the Verband der Privaten Krankenversicherung e.V. (PKV association) and, via this membership, is affiliated with the statutory guarantee fund Medicator AG. The company operates as a not-for-profit mutual (VVaG) and was recognized as the first German insurer certified by the Deutsches Institut für Nachhaltigkeit & Ökonomie for its sustainability practices. In late 2024 it launched a new modular tariff line "vigo 4YOU" without health questions, and its board contracts (Stefan Schumacher and Micha Hildebrandt) were extended by five years in 2025.
