Key conditions

Assistance call deadline

In case of hospitalization or the need for repatriation, the insured should contact the 24-hour emergency call service immediately, ideally before treatment or transport begins, so the insurer can arrange cost coverage.

Unauthorized treatment

If a repatriation is arranged without involving the insurer or its emergency call service, the benefit is limited to the amount that would have been payable had the insurer organized the transport itself.

Purchase while abroad

The insurance contract must be concluded before the trip begins; for contracts concluded after a trip has already started, cover only applies from the start of a new trip.

Chronic conditions

Unexpected deterioration of the health condition in the case of chronic illnesses is covered, but planned treatment of a condition that was already foreseeable before departure is excluded.

Pregnancy

Medically necessary treatment of pregnancy complications, including premature birth, emergency termination and miscarriage, is covered; ordinary pregnancy, delivery and postnatal care are not.

Pre-existing condition exclusions

Cover is excluded for treatment that was already foreseeable, based on a diagnosed illness, at the time the trip started; unforeseen worsening of the condition remains insured.

Coverage duration limit

Each individual trip is covered for a maximum of 56 days. The annual contract covers an unlimited number of trips per contract year and is concluded for one year, automatically renewing for another year unless cancelled in writing at least one month before expiry.
