Regulatory updates
Insurance products sold in Hungary under the Europ Assistance brand are underwritten by Europ Assistance S.A. Irish Branch (Dublin) on a cross-border services basis, supervised by the French ACPR and recognized by the MNB. In January 2025, Europ Assistance SA (France) became the majority owner of Európai Utazási Biztosító Zrt. (EUB), Hungary's dedicated travel insurer, while EUB remains within the Generali Group; Europ Assistance Magyarország's managing director, Andrea Éva Elek, subsequently also took over as EUB's CEO.
