Laya Healthcare Limited, trading as laya healthcare and laya life, is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, and health insurance products are underwritten/provided by AXA Insurance dac. Following AXA's completion of its €650 million acquisition of Laya Healthcare from Corebridge Financial in October 2023, the insurer has continued to hold the second-largest share of Ireland's private health insurance market. Per the Health Insurance Authority's Q4 2025 market bulletin, Laya held 27.9% of the market at end-2025, and it notified the HIA of an average 4.7% price rise across 65 plans effective 1 April 2026, alongside its intention to retire a number of older plans.
