The company changed its historical name from Genialloyd S.p.A. to Allianz Direct S.p.A. on 8 October 2020, and operates under the direction and coordination of Allianz S.p.A. As of 2025, the group underwent a corporate reorganization with the merger of Allianz Next S.p.A. into Allianz S.p.A. (IVASS Provvedimento n. 0211214 of 21/10/2025), part of ongoing structural adjustments within the Allianz Italian group.
