Great Lakes Insurance SE remains registered with IVASS (Elenco I, No. I.00093) and authorised to operate in Italy in regime di stabilimento; IVASS 2025 complaints statistics show Great Lakes with 11.58 complaints per 10,000 motor contracts, below both the Italian and foreign insurer averages. Since 1 October 2024, Telepass Assicura stopped distributing new Great Lakes RCA/CVT policies to new customers, continuing only to manage the existing portfolio. From 15 January 2026 the new IVASS 'Arbitro Assicurativo' (AAS) alternative dispute resolution body became operative for consumer complaints against companies including Great Lakes.
