Regulatory updates
IVASS fined Poste Vita €167,940 in a sanction dated 21 November 2025 for failing to meet contractual deadlines for settling 34 life insurance claims between September 2023 and February 2024. This follows a record €1.8 million IVASS fine issued in July 2023 for deficiencies in financial risk governance, which the company subsequently remedied via an approved remediation plan. Separately, from 15 January 2026 a new out-of-court insurance dispute resolution body, the 'Arbitro Assicurativo', became operative for consumer complaints against Italian insurers including Poste Vita.
