Regulatory updates
In January 2025 De Goudse reached a settlement in the Dutch 'woekerpolis' (unit-linked policy) affair covering products such as Eigen Effect Plan, FlexxvermogensPlan and Spaar-Aktief Beleggen, involving roughly €12.5 million, pending approval by at least 90% of affected policyholders. Separately, at the end of September 2025 it was announced that absence/sickness specialist Sazas would become part of De Goudse (retaining its own brand and office), and in 2026 De Goudse acquired the insurance portfolio of AFOS Zevenwouden U.A. including its underwriting agency Noorderlinge verzekeraars, continuing under the new label 'De Noorderlinge'.
