Regulatory updates
Mintley is a white-label brand rather than a licensed insurer itself. According to the current official 'About Mintley' page, the brand is owned by Independer, which also handles customer service, while Allianz Direct now manufactures the products and carries the risk for Mintley — a shift from the original setup where iptiQ (Swiss Re's digital insurer, licensed via Luxembourg's CAA and passported into the Netherlands under DNB/AFM oversight) both underwrote the risk and handled claims. Complaints can be filed with Kifid (Klachteninstituut Financiële Dienstverlening).
