In January 2024 Nh1816 announced the sale of its entire life/funeral insurance portfolio (approx. 11,600 funeral policies, €1.6m premium volume) to Onderlinge 's-Gravenhage (OG), as Nh1816 wanted to focus solely on private non-life insurance sold via intermediaries; the transfer received formal approval from De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) on 4 June 2024 and became legally effective on 7 June 2024. The company continues to operate under an AFM/DNB licence as a non-life insurer.
