Univé is a Dutch cooperative insurer without a profit motive, formed in its present form in 1991 through the merger of regional cooperatives DLG (Assen) and Novo (Zwolle), with its oldest predecessor mutual dating back to 1794. It offers property, motor, travel, health, life and business insurance as well as mortgages, mainly through a network of around 100-150 local stores run by regional member cooperatives.
