Regulatory updates
As of August 31, 2021, the Czech National Bank and the National Bank of Slovakia approved the merger of AXA životní pojišťovna a.s., AXA pojišťovna a.s., and UNIQA poisťovňa, a.s. into UNIQA pojišťovna, a.s., which now operates in Slovakia as a foreign branch. The branch has been registered in the Slovak Commercial Register since May 21, 2021. UNIQA is supervised by the NBS, which has been the integrated financial market supervisor since 2006, covering insurance sector participants.
