Overall limit for medical expenses abroad: REFERENCE 100,000 EUR, KOMFORT 600,000 EUR, EXCELENT 20,000,000 EUR; covers assistance services, hospitalization, outpatient treatment, transport/repatriation and emergency dental care up to the sub-limits stated per tier.

Necessary and urgent treatment of a sudden acute illness or injury abroad is covered up to the overall medical expenses limit of the chosen tier (100,000 / 600,000 / 20,000,000 EUR).

Unplanned multi-day treatment in a standard multi-bed hospital room, including meals, is covered for the necessary time up to the overall medical expenses limit of the chosen tier.

Necessary examinations, outpatient medical treatment and prescribed medication related to a sudden illness or injury abroad are covered up to the overall medical expenses limit of the chosen tier.

Sub-limit for basic dental treatment of acute painful conditions: REFERENCE 240 EUR, KOMFORT 440 EUR, EXCELENT 800 EUR.

Transport from the place of accident/illness to the nearest suitable medical facility, including mountain rescue intervention or helicopter transport abroad where medically required, up to the overall medical expenses limit.

Medically justified transport between healthcare facilities and repatriation back to Slovakia (including medical escort where needed) are covered up to the overall medical expenses limit.

Transport of mortal remains to Slovakia and other necessary related costs are covered up to the overall medical expenses limit; transport costs outside Slovakia are capped at the cost of transport to Slovakia.

Mountain rescue intervention abroad is covered up to the overall medical expenses limit. A separate flat benefit of 10,000 EUR per insured per policy period applies to mountain rescue interventions in Slovakia (Belianske Tatry, Vysoké Tatry and other listed ranges), but only under repeated-trip policies; costs of search/rescue where life or health was not endangered are excluded.

General treatment of COVID-19 as an acute illness is covered under the medical expenses benefit in all tiers, since the pandemic exclusion explicitly does not apply to COVID-19. Additional COVID-quarantine accommodation/meal costs and return-to-Slovakia costs are covered up to 600 EUR (KOMFORT) or 1,200 EUR (EXCELENT); not available under REFERENCE. EXCELENT also covers COVID-19 treatment up to 1,000,000 EUR in areas subject to a travel warning.

Stabilized chronic conditions (no change in treatment, medication or hospitalization in the 12 months before the policy start) are covered under the general medical limit in all tiers. Destabilized/unstabilized chronic conditions and complications of ambulatory surgery are covered only under the EXCELENT tier, sub-limit 40,000 EUR.

Recreational skiing and snowboarding on marked trails is automatically covered as a 'bežný šport' (common sport) within the medical, accident and liability limits of the chosen tier. Off-piste skiing/snowboarding, snowparks and similar riskier variants are classified as 'rizikové športy' and require the optional risky-sports rider.

The optional 'Pripoistenie rizikových športov' rider extends the medical expenses, accident and liability limits to riskier listed sports (e.g. diving beyond certain depths, canyoning, kitesurfing, off-piste skiing, mountaineering up to a stated grade). Available under the PREMIUM and STANDARD add-on packages; not available under BASIC.

Pregnancy tests, interruption, complications of pregnancy after week 32, high-risk pregnancy, childbirth, infertility treatment and contraception are excluded. However, a child born prematurely before week 32 during the trip is insured under the medical expenses benefit and shares the mother's limit.

Covers liability for bodily injury/health damage caused to third parties abroad: KOMFORT up to 200,000 EUR, EXCELENT up to 1,000,000 EUR. Property damage: KOMFORT up to 60,000 EUR, EXCELENT up to 400,000 EUR. EXCELENT additionally covers lost profit up to 40,000 EUR. Not available under the REFERENCE tier.

Covers legal costs for defence against traffic-related offences, disputes over damages caused by a third party, disputes with a Slovak travel agency, and EU Regulation 261/2004 flight delay/cancellation claims. Overall limit: KOMFORT 800 EUR, EXCELENT 4,000 EUR. Not available under REFERENCE.
