Direct payment

The insurer's assistance service can arrange direct settlement with the foreign medical facility by sending a payment guarantee, so the insured does not always have to pay out of pocket for ambulatory treatment.

Geographic scope

Europe, worldwide, or worldwide excluding USA and Canada (selectable at conclusion)

Medical expenses cover applies to events occurring in the territory agreed in the policy, excluding Slovakia; riders such as accident, liability, baggage, flight/luggage delay, vehicle breakdown and legal assistance also cover events in Slovakia after the trip has started, but not before the start of coverage.

Unique selling points

  • Coverage can start just 3 hours after concluding the contract, faster than the next-day start typical for annual travel policies.
  • Medical expenses abroad can be insured up to 300,000 EUR in the Optimal and Exclusive packages.
  • A NONSTOP assistance line is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with support in Slovak and Czech.
  • An online calculator lets customers build their own combination of add-on covers (accident, baggage, cancellation, vehicle breakdown, legal aid) for a single trip.
  • The single-trip legal assistance rider offers a 5,000 EUR sum insured, higher than the 1,500 EUR limit on the annual Exclusive package.
