Chronic conditions

Chronic, congenital and/or pre-existing diseases and their consequences, suffered by the insured prior to the start of the trip or the policy subscription, are excluded from coverage, except those expressly covered. The policy also covers premature birth of the insured, her spouse or permanent partner as a cause for trip cancellation.

pre_existing_conditions

Pre-existing conditions are generally excluded. Emergency first aid for unforeseeable complications of pre-existing, chronic or congenital conditions is covered only during the first 24 hours of hospital admission, up to 10% of the medical assistance sum insured. Diseases being treated or requiring medical care within the 30 days prior to the trip reservation or insurance inclusion date are excluded from the trip cancellation guarantee.

For policies with a duration of over 180 days, round trips to the insured's home in Spain are permitted. Coverage is automatically extended free of charge, once only and for a maximum of 7 days from the originally planned end date, when the insured is required to prolong their stay for a covered reason.
