Regulatory updates
The FMA approved the merger of Raiffeisen Versicherung AG (together with Salzburger Landes-Versicherung AG and FINANCE LIFE Lebensversicherung AG) into UNIQA Österreich Versicherungen AG, effective 1 October 2016, after which Raiffeisen Versicherung AG was deleted from the commercial register as an independent company and continues only as a distribution brand of UNIQA Österreich; UNIQA has stated the merger occurred 'im Hintergrund' without noticeable impact on distribution partners or customers. Historically, the FMA also issued a correction regarding inaccurate claims made by UNIQA Personenversicherung AG and Raiffeisen Versicherung AG about their 'Zukunftsplan' and 'Lebensaktie' investment-linked life products.
