Regulatory updates
As a mutual insurer under the Austrian Insurance Supervision Act (VAG 2016), Tiroler Versicherung is supervised by the FMA and publishes an annual Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR); its 2024 SFCR states that the company met all required solvency capital requirements at all times during 2024. In early 2026 the company faced a legal dispute with Lienzer Bergbahn AG, which sued Tiroler Versicherung over a rejected claim related to cableway pylon repair costs it argued should have been covered as storm/catastrophe damage.
