Direct payment

The full premium or the first instalment must be paid when the policy is concluded, payable in cash, by debit or credit card, via payment slip/bank transfer, or by standing order; remaining instalments are due per the schedule shown on the policy.

Geographic scope

Europe, including non-European territory falling under the jurisdiction of the European Union

Valid across European states; valid only in the European part of Turkey; in Russia valid only from the border with a European state to the 55th meridian. Vehicles with foreign registration plates, trial plates, or construction-company vehicles are covered only within Croatia unless a special surcharge is agreed.

Unique selling points

  • Premium pricing individually rewards each driver's skill and responsibility, not just standard vehicle risk factors, with extra discounts for experienced drivers in certain age groups.
  • Customers can freely combine partial-casco coverage modules (e.g. glass, wildlife collision, natural perils) to match their exact needs and budget.
  • Generali Autoasistencija roadside assistance is available 24/7, covering breakdowns, accidents, lost/locked-in keys and running out of fuel with a single phone call.
  • Fast, straightforward online informative premium calculation lets prospective customers get a casco price estimate without visiting a branch.
  • No-depreciation replacement rule for key wear parts (tyres, battery, exhaust, tarpaulins, fluids) means insureds are not penalised with amortisation deductions on these items during a covered repair.

Coverage limits

Full casco own-damage cover

Covered

Full casco covers destruction, damage or disappearance of the insured vehicle resulting from sudden events independent of the insured's or driver's will (collision, fire, explosion, lightning, storm, hail, falling objects, vandalism, etc.). The insurer's maximum liability for all claims during the policy period is capped at the insured sum (basis for premium calculation) stated on the policy.

Source

Total loss indemnity

Covered

In case of destruction or disappearance of the vehicle, indemnity is based on the vehicle's value at the time of assessment less the market value of any remaining parts and the agreed/obligatory deductible, using the new-vehicle purchase price on the date of loss reduced for depreciation. The insured sum entered on the policy is the upper limit of the insurer's liability.

Source

Partial damage repair cover

Covered

For partial damage, indemnity equals the cost of repair (including dismantling/reassembly) less the market value of replaced residual parts; no depreciation deduction applies to new tyres, batteries, exhaust parts, tarpaulins, fluids and similar wear parts fitted as replacements.

Source

Theft and robbery cover

Covered

Full casco covers theft, burglary theft, robbery and unlawful taking of the vehicle for use in driving; a vehicle is deemed stolen if not found within 30 days of reporting to the police. Coverage is excluded if a 'theft risk exclusion' premium discount was applied on the policy, and rights are lost if the vehicle was not properly locked/closed at the time of theft.

Source

Glass breakage cover

Covered

Covers damage to standard factory-fitted glass on the vehicle (excluding light, mirror and panoramic-roof glass) arising from the perils listed for full casco; can also be purchased as a standalone partial-casco clause (STAKLA) with a limit equal to the insured sum on the policy.

Source

Natural perils cover

Covered

Full casco covers lightning, explosion, storm (wind over 17.2 m/s), hail, snow/ice falling from objects or vegetation and avalanche, aircraft impact, flood, torrent and high water; can also be purchased as the standalone Djelomični kasko PRIRODNE NEPOGODE clause. Earthquake damage is explicitly excluded.

Source

Vandalism / malicious acts of third parties

Covered

Full casco covers malicious acts or wilful misconduct of third parties causing damage to the insured vehicle.

Source

Roadside assistance (Autoasistencija)

Optional

Available as a supplementary risk offering organisational or financial help in the event of breakdown, traffic accident, lost keys or running out of fuel; scope depends on the package chosen and is available 24/7 via phone.

Source

Replacement vehicle costs

Excluded

Under the current casco terms (103-0133), the insurer is not obliged to reimburse the cost of a replacement vehicle unless separately agreed; this is explicitly listed among costs the insurer does not cover.

Source

Accident insurance (driver/passengers)

Optional

Optional supplementary risk paying agreed amounts in case of disability or death resulting from a traffic accident; cover is excluded if the accident results from attempted or completed suicide.

Key conditions

Driver age and experience limit

No explicit minimum driver age or experience threshold is set as an eligibility condition for casco cover in the T&Cs; however, premium calculation factors in individual driver characteristics (e.g., experienced drivers in certain age groups may receive premium discounts).

Repair network requirements

The T&Cs do not mandate use of a specific repair network; however, repair of the vehicle abroad is explicitly excluded from cover, and repair-cost indemnity is based on the cost of repair in the country.

Territorial scope

Cover applies in Europe, the European part of Turkey, and Russia up to the 55th meridian; vehicles with foreign, trial, or construction-company registration are covered only within Croatia unless an additional premium is agreed for wider territorial validity.

Anti-theft requirements

The insured loses rights under the policy if the theft occurred because the vehicle was not locked and closed (convertible roof down/windows open) or if the theft was otherwise facilitated by the insured's negligence.

Claim notification deadline

A loss must be reported to the insurer immediately upon becoming known, with a written report submitted within 3 days; theft, robbery or unlawful taking must additionally be reported to the police within 24 hours.

Deductible rules

A contractually agreed deductible applies per claim. If several claims occur during the policy period, an additional mandatory deductible escalates: 30% of the base full-casco premium (min. 132.72 EUR) for the 2nd claim, 50% for the 3rd, 100% for the 4th, and 200% (min. 132.72 EUR) from the 5th claim onward. For vehicles with foreign registration plates, a mandatory deductible of 25% of the loss amount applies (min. 132.72 EUR).
